Taking a shower is something many of us do daily. While a shower-head is a fairly basic design, there are some improvements that have been made to shower-heads over the years that might prompt you to want to replace yours.
Some shower-heads come with several different sprays, some are made to conserve water, while some offer the convenience of a handheld sprayer.
No matter what design you choose to go with, unless you decide to pay someone to do it for you, you will need to know how to replace your existing shower-head.
If there is a lot of corrosion on the pipe of your existing shower-head, it might be difficult to remove it. If you find that you can’t budge the shower-head even with a wrench, then it is better to contact a professional, since you could do serious damage to the pipes in your wall if you were to force it. Once the old shower-head is off, you should clean the pipe off well with a wire brush, and then put some teflon tape on the thread.
After this, it should be easy to attach the new shower-head.
